About the Coronado Free Summer Shuttle
Leave your car at home. Take the Free Summer Shuttle around town. It's quick and easy, from the beach to the bay, and everywhere in between! The City of Coronado's Summer Shuttle provides free rides to residents and visitors in Coronado weekdays during the summer. Four San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) buses will run along the existing Route 904 around the downtown Village area of Coronado.
Residents, guests, and local business operators can see the Free Summer Shuttle buses along the bus route from the Shores and City Hall to the Ferry Landing and Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa.
Free Summer Shuttle rides all summer: July 1 through September 2, 2024.
MTS day passes are available at the Coronado Cays Homeowners Association for distribution to residents. The City is also offering free bus service on July 4, for Cays residents. This free bus service will operate from 7:30 AM to 11:00 PM in 30-minute intervals from the northeast corner of Coronado Cays and Grande Caribe to the southerly corner of Avenue De Las Arenas and Silver Strand Boulevard.
The City's Free Summer Shuttle Program provides free rides to residents and visitors in Coronado from 9 am to 8 pm seven days a week, from July 1 through September 2, in 15-minute intervals. Service will also be available on July 4 for Cays residents (*different schedule). The Coronado Summer Shuttle is operated by MTS and the program is funded by the City of Coronado and through a community partnership with Discover Coronado which underwrites the cost to design and installs the colorful exterior bus wrapping on the shuttle busses.
